Our intention with the intimate sessions is to go a little deeper and explore dancing as a state of expression, meditation and self journeying but also as a playful interaction between dancers and exploring connection between forms.
In the ancient and widespread practice of shamanism, ecstatic dance and rhythmic drumming were used to alter consciousness in spiritual practices. Ecstatic sacred dances are known also from religious traditions around the world.
Ecstatic Dance can help heal emotional pain and help with the processing emotions, revealing a sense of increased clarity, wellbeing and happiness. Therefore we invite you to come as you are. No need to be happy, or "in the mood" or to be anything or anyone at all. Just you.
The dance lasts 90 minutes and is followed by sacred integration time, to allow the body, soul and mind to harmonise and recalibrate supported by a restorative electronic sound journey.

Ceremonialist, dance journey guide and creative space holder, Alexia Berta invites the four directions to the opening of the dance space by way of shamanic liturgy.
Guiding us to arrive with presence into our body, tuning into our authentic self, activating the flow of collective unity and peace through untainted self-generated bliss, Alexia ensures a safe space for the unfolding of your dance journey as prayer on a transformational landscape. She is tenderly known by her community as the "mother" for her ability to make everyone feel at home, welcome and seen, whether you are new to the space or have been there many moons.

Initiating us through the portals of this Winter Solstice with a prayerful community dance ceremony, Ecstatic DJ Juanito Azul, opens hearts to expand and release joy and gratitude into the ethers. Known also as the respected legendary DJ Johnny Blue - Juanito Azul -has been playing music for more than 20 years, across global festivals and influential venues. He effortlessly blends sounds, creating colourful, sensational music stories, delivering uplifting experiences which are both energising and grounding.

ECSTATIC DANCE GUIDELINES: (FIRM)
~ Dance as we are; without alcohol, drugs, phones, cameras, distractions.
~ Barefoot; create a direct connection with the ground.
~ Talk free zone; No words, let the body talk.
~ Respect one another and their space; dance with people or dance alone. Everyone is welcome fully in their condition.
*Breaching these guidelines will result in an instant removal from the dance floor.

As this event will be held at the home of Alexia Berta - we wish to maintain a privacy level by making this dance one for the dedicated community and will not be publishing the event on our social media.
This will be our only dance in April and we have space for 22 dancers. Our next dance will be an open event towards the end of May.

We put a lot of time, love and energy into our events.
Our facilitators are dedicated and highly trained leaders in their respective fields who have spent decades honing their specialised gifts and crafts.
To offer such a refined calibre of services, we must ensure we, the facilitators, do not only survive, but thrive, through the sharing of our knowledge within our communities.
Our space requires constant upkeep too, and we, like everyone, have monthly running costs. To keep with this universal balance of giving and receiving, we price our events with care and consideration to ensure we honour ourselves in equal measure to our community making our events as financially accessible as is possible.
