Spring Equinox-Welcoming Persephone
As the light returns to illuminate this part of our planet, we come together to celebrate the coming of persephone. Rebirth, renewal and regrowth are all around us as mother demeter rejoices in welcoming her child from the underworld.
Long celebrated as the pagan new year, spring equinox is a wonderful time to experience the vibrant nature of the island of cyprus.
We invite you to a full day of spring equinox celebrations, filled with ritual, myth, connection, music and meditation
We will begin at 9 am with one of the most stunning walks from Prastio kellakiou (meeting point) down to finikaria dam. the spectacular panoramic views over the water reservoir and across the mediterranean, make this one of the highest rated hikes in the limassol area. The hike itself is a moderate level of difficulty. hiking shoes are recommended. the entire route will be downhill, linear, (despite being a loop trail) and It should take a maximum of 3 hours to complete as we will only walk it one way, at a leisurely pace. The path passes through a forest with clusters of cypress trees and other plant species which at this specific time of the year are in abundance and include beautiful wildflowers.
following the nature hike we will have a simple vegan community lunch and time to rest and enjoy the conscious collective space.
The afternoon will see the co-creation of our circle altar, a ritual connected to the time of ostara. we will make a flower mandala, placing offerings such as crystals, photos, letters, candles, and any other elements or objects that signify a new beginning within it.
The myth of persephone will be retold, tuning into the frequency of the springtime energy, and ancestoral esoteric wisdom as well as celebrations from across the world will be honoured and brought to life, You are encourage to bring stories, myths, songs and/or rituals from your own culture and ancestry to share with the circle as part of your offering. Mantras and spontaneous movement are planned into our afternoon ending with a deep, intention setting meditation for the year of light ahead.

January arrives as a portal of transformation, the first. month of 2025 which further breaks down to the number 1, amplifying its symbolic meaning of new beginnings, movement, creation, leadership and self confidence.
It is an auspicious time for unveiling miracles and the infinite potential the year holds.
We have worked through challenges of the past year, transmuting the heavy lessons served, shedding skins and patterns as we continued transcending the density of lesser frequencies. A word on our Cacao from Alexia Berta:
"The medicine of Mama Cacao has been a catalyst for my spiritual development. I have been holding ceremony with the spirit of Cacao as sacred conductor for the past 5 years and have come to develop a very sensitive and refined preference not only towards the taste, but specifically towards the way it harmonises with my body and what the effect of it has been on my nervous system as well as my spiritual body. Each farm has a shrine, where they offer devotion to Mother Earth and to the Hindu gods. This extraordinary level of devotion is unique to Balinese culture, and is why this particular ceremonial cacao is such a unique and powerful plant medicine.
The sacred beans are peeled, ground and packaged without any tempering, and without adding or removing anything, resulting in 100% pure cacao, that has been locally sourced in a 100% ethical way.
I have brought back to Cyprus only a small batch of this cacao to use in sacred ceremony. You will not find this cacao anywhaere else on the island as it is not available for sale."
